Runway 34 and Heropanti 2 Box Office: Ajay Devgn starrer does better than Tiger Shroff film on first Monday

The movies Runway 34 and Heropanti 2 witnessed a drop in the first Monday collections at the box office. Both the movies were released in theatres on April 29, Friday. While Runway 34 stars Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and Amitabh Bachchan, Heropanti 2 features Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The Tiger Shroff starrer got a decent opening at the box office on the first day. And, the Ajay Devgn directorial opened with a slow start.

A Box Office India report said that Runway 34 saw a drop of 20-25% in the first Monday collections at the box office. The report also mentioned that the Amitabh Bachchan starrer has made a decent collection on the fourth day, than Heropanti 2.

Runway 34 made a collection of 2.25-2.50 crore nett range, while Heropanti 2 collected only 1 crore at the box office. So far, the total collections of the Ajay Devgn directorial stand at 15.50 crore nett, while the Tiger Shroff movie has collected 16 crore nett.

According to the report, “Runway 34 has done better than Heropanti 2 as it dropped around 20-25% on Monday to collect in the 2.25-2.50 crore nett range. The drop may not be much but the collections are also not much. Ideally if the film had collected as much as Friday or more then maybe there could be some hope for the film.”

As per the report, “Heropanti 2 had a very poor Monday collecting only 1 crore nett. the film has basically not lasted till Eid and that was pretty much the fear on day one as action films have to open much better to have any chance of lasting after three days.” The report further stated, “The total business of the film is 16 crore nett and even though it will improve today due to the holiday it hardly matters after the huge crash on Monday.”

Meanwhile, the Tiger Shroff starrer is directed by Ahmed Khan. Ajay Devgn has directed as well as plays the role of Captain Vikrant Khanna in the movie.
