Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor’s latest film ‘Sanju’ has been ruling the box office since day one. On its first day, the movie had minted Rs. 34 crore approximately and went on to break the records of a number of top hits.
In fact, with its earnings of Rs. 38 crores nett approx from the second day, ‘Sanju’ has become the highest day 2 earner of Bollywood, leaving behind ‘Race 3’ and ‘Padmaavat’. The Sanjay Dutt biopic has done exceedingly well in the opening weekend. After earning Rs 46 crore on Sunday, the film’s total collection now stands at Rs 120.06 crore.

On its first Monday, the movie has collected Rs. 25-25.50 crore nett approx. This takes the four day total to a huge 144.50 crore nett. The highest first week apart from ‘Bahubali – The Conclusion’ is ‘Sultan’ at 209 crore nett and that could be beaten by ‘Sanju’.
The total collections of Sanju from its first week are as follows. On its first day, the movie has minted around; 34,19,00,000 on Friday, Rs.38,41,00,000 on Saturday, Rs. 46,73,00,000 Sunday and on Monday Rs. 25,25,00,000 approx thus taking its total to 1,44,58,00,000 approx.
Let us see if the movie will be able to beat the record of Aamir Khan starrer ‘Dangal’ and become the highest grosser for the Hindi film industry after ‘Bahubali – The Conclusion’.
‘Sanju’ is a non-holiday release but with no real big releases on the horizon as yet, it is possible that the movie might go on to break some more records.
