The Kashmir Files enters the 100 crore club, beats Aamir Khan’s Dangal day 8 collection at box office

The Kashmir Files is unstoppable! The film got released when there was extensive hype around Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi and Prabhas, Pooja Hedge starrer Radhe Shyam. This Friday, Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon starrer Bachchhan Paandey was released; however, The Kashmir Files was not affected by its release as it gained good footfalls at the box office. Speaking about Day 8 collections, The Kashmir Files has now entered the 100-crore club with elan. That’s right! Adding Friday collections, the film has crossed the 100-crore mark, beating Aamir Khan starrer Dangal.

Aamir’s film had collected Rs 18.59 crores on day 8 and now beating the collection, Anupam Kher starrer minted Rs 19.15 crores on Friday, thus making the grand total to Rs 116.45 crores. Going by the latest number, Vivek Agnihotri directorial film has also come closer to Baahubali 2 day 8 collections which collected Rs 19.75 crores at the box office. Seeing the extraordinary pace, the intense drama will comfortably cross Rs 150 crores in Weekend 2. The bonus point is that the film is said to be dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam which also means, the film will collect more numbers at the box office.

As The Kashmir Files entered the 100 crore club, here’s how the film is collected so far:

Friday: Rs 3.55 crore

Saturday: Rs 8.50 crores

Sunday: Rs 15.10 crores

Monday: Rs 15.05 crores

Tuesday: Rs 18 crores

Wednesday: Rs 19.05 crores

Thursday: Rs 18.05 crores

Friday: Rs 19.15 crores

Total: Rs 116.45 crores

People are getting emotional seeing The Kashmir Files as they can resonate with the story. Even Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi watched the film and praised the director for making a film on this. Modi said in Hindi (that is translated in English as), “There can be many aspects of truth and different views, those who think it is not correct can make their own film, but they are shocked that the truth that they tried to suppress is now coming out with the backing of facts and efforts. The entire ecosystem is involved in it”.
