Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the movie Uunchai that was released last week has remained steady in terms of the first Tuesday box office collections. The film was released in theatres on November 11. With the phenomenal collections on the first Monday, the Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani starrer managed to make similar numbers as the opening day, on the first Tuesday.
Uunchai remained steady on the first Tuesday as it collected 1.65 crore nett, at the box office. The Sooraj Barjatya directorial had opened with a similar collection and managed to get similar numbers on the fifth day. Despite the limited screens, the Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani starrer has collected 12.65 crore nett, in total.
A Box Office India report said that the movie is expected to make it to a target of 15.50 to 16 crore nett by the end of the week. As per the report, the Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta and Sarika featuring film also had more screenings on Tuesday compared to the first day. The report stated that the Amitabh Bachchan movie should hold the collections at these levels for the next three days to add up to the collections.

Meanwhile, the Sooraj Barjatya directorial stars Neena Gupta, Parineeti Chopra and Sarika too. It also features Danny Dengonzpa and Nafisa Ali in supporting roles. Bollywood Bubble gave the movie Uunchai a rating of three and a half stars in the review. “Barjatya and his team serve you ‘grandiosity’ at its best,” an excerpt in the Uunchai movie review said.
