Bhediya First Week Box Office: Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon starrer fails to cross the 50 crore mark

Bhediya starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon which was released on November 25 has now completed one week at the box office. However, going by the recent numbers, the film’s collections are not impressive. Bhediya has managed to cross the 30 crore mark in its first week but has failed to hit the 50 crore mark at the box office.

According to the Box Office India report, the horror comedy collected Rs 2.25 crores on day 7. The total collection of Bhediya is now Rs 37.85 crores, despite receiving good reviews from the fans as well as critics. As per the report, the weekend collections and the Monday drop caused damage to the movie’s figures. The first week collection of Bhediya is quite poorly compared to Varun Dhawan’s last release JugJugg Jeeyo which collected Rs 50 crore nett.

Day 1 – Friday – Rs 6.75 crores

Day 2 – Saturday – Rs 9.25 crores

Day 3 – Sunday – Rs 10.75 crores

Day 4 – Monday – Rs 3.25 crores

Day 5 – Tuesday – Rs 3 crores

Day 6 – Wednesday – Rs 2.60 crores

Day 7 – Thursday – Rs 2.25 crores

TOTAL – Rs 37.85 crores

Moreover, the Amar Kaushik directorial venture has also faced stiff competition from Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna starrer Drishyam 2 which has collected good numbers at the box office. Now, Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat starrer An Action Hero is also released today which can divide the audience even more.

Meanwhile, Bhediya got 4 stars from Bollywood Bubble. Bhediya is about a man who turns into a werewolf after being beaten by the creature. The film is also high on VFX and used special effects to create a perfect wolf for the film.
