The #MeToo movement has just begun and it seems it’s just the tip of the iceberg. Unlike other years, this time, the movement will not stop at this. It seems women and especially actresses and struggling heroines are coming out and shaming sexual perpetrators in the open.
Names like Sajid Khan, Subhash Ghai, Vikas Bahl, Rajat Kapoor and others have already done the rounds. But an industry insider is shocked to see that noone is naming this other filmmaker who happens to be a face from South Indian film industry. He is known to be a producer, director, actor as well as a dancer.
One hears that this multi talented guy is actually a serial offender on the sets. Although his body language and temperament might make you feel he’s a decent chap, but his inappropriate behaviour with heroines on sets will prove you wrong. Apparently, he was making a film with one of the top South heroines’ who also has been part of a few Bollywood films. He started making passes at her and she didn’t respond. This continued for days before she decided to put an end to this.
She then called this predator to her room, and although he readily agreed thinking this meeting might bear fruit, what he didn’t know was that the heroine had already got a few people from the sets – including the DoP, the spotboys and others to hide in corners of her room. When he tried to make a move, she not only slapped him but asked him to stay away. She then called everyone out and threatened to make this episode public. Since then, he rendered an apology and behaved well with her. But knowing his philandering ways and his tensed married life in the past, he must have preyed on his other actresses as well. There’s a strong chance that one of those top heroines from South might make the bold move and make his name public in the #MeToo campaign.
