Exclusive: Janhvi Kapoor to star opposite Vicky Kaushal in Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’

Karan Johar is coming back with a huge ensemble. The title of which revealed by us yesterday. The movie titled ‘Takht’ soon going to go on floors and the director has already locked in the cast. While Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt have been locked in for three prominent roles, the film which will have several big actors together has found its third heroine.

KJo has decided to cast his current find also in his big period drama. Janhvi Kapoor who made her big debut with ‘Dhadak’ earlier this year will also be part of the movie. The project is possibly the biggest ever historical planned in the history of Indian cinema. The filmmaker plans to make it on the lines of a ‘Baahubali’.

Earlier today, it was being reported that Vicky Kaushal too might be roped in for the project. Now, it’s confirmed that Vicky and Janhvi will be paired opposite each other. While Vicky plays Aurangzeb, Janhvi will play his wife. Along with these five actors, there are two-three other characters who play prominent parts. The details of those characters aren’t out yet but there will be one senior actor playing Ranveer, Kareena and Aurangzeb’s father Shah Jahan.
