EXCLUSIVE: Katrina Kaif CONFIRMED for ‘Bharat’

News about Priyanka Chopra exiting from ‘Bharat’, came as a shocker to many, including the ones in the film team. While the deal is sealed, with the whole crew fuming at PC’s unprofessional behavior, talks are already on with another heroine. And what happens to be destiny, it’s Katrina Kaif, who will be playing the lead opposite Salman in the period venture.

Kat was always Atul and Alvira Agnihotri’s first choice for the project, but Priyanka was later chosen for the main lead. Now, with PC walking out, the team has got in touch with Kat’s team to work out her schedule. From what we hear, they have already locked it.

Katrina will join the team for a two-three day schedule end of next month. But her full-fledged portions will roll out from the first week of September. Then, she takes a break to promote ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’, while simultaneously finishing her shoot for ‘Bharat’. Ditto during the time for ‘Zero’, but Ali plans to wrap up the film by December so that Kat gets ample time to give to the Aanand L Rai film, also starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. The film will hit theaters on 21st December this year!

Apart from Salman Khan, ‘Bharat’, also stars Disha Patani and Sunil Grover in lead roles.
