She won the hearts of many with her terrific comic timing in ‘Veer Di Wedding’. Shikha Talsania, who stood out and proved herself in a film starring Kareena Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor says she never took her father Tiku Talsania’s help to get into films.
She further added, “My parents were actors and I lived a wonderful life accompanying them. I spent a lot of time backstage I am really happy that I have lived such an enriched life. The actress is grateful that she is being offered performance-oriented roles.
Shikha says, “I am lucky for the past few years I have been getting performance-based scripts and not what my physicality is and they are empowering characters.”
Shikha Talsania made her debut with Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Wake Up Sid’. Since then she has done films ‘My Friend Pinto’ (2011) and ‘Midnight’s Children’ (2012).
Shikha also a stage performer says its the most beautiful feeling to be on stage.
“The kind of feeling I get when I am on stage it’s beautiful but its equally enriching when I am in front of the camera. What theatre does for you as a performer it outways the monetary aspect of it.”
