Now, coming to the lady of the hour, Priyanka Chopra has married the love of her life Nick Jonas in Jodhpur. The wedding took place according to Hindu and Christian traditions.

Priyanka Chopra, in such a short period of time, has become not only a household name, she has become a global entity. The girl from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly has achieved everything on her own and is truly an inspiration. I don’t think many people would have predicted that Priyanka Chopra would become Miss World, Bollywood actress, producer, entrepreneur, singer and now a global superstar.

But, Priyanka’s journey has been nothing short of a roller coaster and she has proved it time and again that there is no substitute for hard work and talent. Priyanka didn’t have any big daddy (in Bollywood) and was not a daughter of any big movie star.

Actresses in general have been targeted for being too aspirational and bold (this question would not be asked to male actors). How many actresses would take a punt on making their name in Hollywood at the cost of leaving the country and dropping some big projects? But, Priyanka is not your typical diva, who is happy going through the motions. She took that big risk of pursuing a career in the USA.

Priyanka Chopra’s work in Hollywood has made Indians proud and she is not stuck portraying a stereotypical Indian or Asian character. The ‘Quantico’ actress has always pushed boundaries and doesn’t like to sit on laurels or past achievements. The actress, who made her Bollywood debut way back in 2003, is a perfect example of an individual, who wants to reinvent and challenge herself in every which way. And another great thing about Priyanka is that she doesn’t hold any personal grudges against criticism and takes it in her stride.

Priyanka Chopra is now a brand who is cherished on the world stage and people take her very seriously. PeeCee is also a United Nations ambassador for refugees and as a producer, she has really supported regional cinema by investing in Marathi, Bhojpuri, Assamese and Sikkimese movies. In India, it has become a fashion to give certificates on nationalism (by right wing commentators and trolls). The amount of work that Priyanka has done, she should surely qualify as a nationalist! Priyanka has broken every glass ceiling for women and is a true feminist beyond any doubt.
