Aamir Khan’s throwback pic with 19-year old Ayan Mukerji is pure gold

Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji is at present busy with the first part of his upcoming trilogy ‘Brahmastra’. The movie has Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. Recently, the talented filmmaker took to his Instagram handle and shared a throwback picture from the muhurat of Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Swades’. Guess who gave a clap for the muhurat shot? It was none other than Aamir Khan.

In the said picture, we can see a 19-year-old Ayan posing with Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao who had attended the mahurat of the film and can be seen holding the clapperboard. Aamir was seen in his Mangal Pandey getup. Ayan was just nineteen and was working as an assistant director with his brother-in-law Ashutosh Gowariker.

Ayan’s post soon got a response from his sister Sunita Gowariker who had marked her debut as a producer with ‘Swades’. She praised her brother for being so clever and hardworking.

Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, critically acclaimed ‘Swades’ revolved around Shah Rukh’s character of a NASA employee. He comes home and works for the upliftment of his village. The movie also featured Gayatri Joshi.

Ayan Mukerji, who has directed a couple of hit flicks, is now awaiting the release of ‘Brahmastra’. The makers had recently unveiled the logo of the movie at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. ‘Brahmastra’ also features Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. It will be releasing on December 20, 2019.
