When Anil Kapoor used Madhuri Dixit’s name to acquire an MF Husain painting

‘Dhak Dhak’ girl Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor have worked together in a number of hit flicks. The duo is all set to charm their fans once again with their sizzling onscreen chemistry in ‘Total Dhamaal’. The Indra Kumar directorial brings back the ‘Tezaab’ jodi after a gap of 15 years.

Madhuri Dixit known for her beauty and dancing skills left fans mesmerized very early in her career. Not only the masses but even legendary artists like MF Husain and Pandit Birju Maharaj were a big fan of the dancing diva.

Recently, when Madhuri and Anil Kapoor were promoting their movie ‘Total Dhamaal’ on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ with their team. The jhakaas star shared an amusing anecdote on how he acquired an MF Husain painting.

Anil Kapoor said, “One day, my wife Sunita pointed out that we had everyone’s painting in our house except for MF Husain’s. Back then, we couldn’t afford a Husain Saab painting so when I got to know that he had been trying to meet Madhuri, I met him and kind of struck a deal. I said I could get him to meet her but for that, he would have to give me one of his paintings. He agreed and gifted me one, which is a prized possession in my house till date and I give all the credit to Madhuri for it.”

‘Total Dhamaal’ also features Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Esha Gupta, Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Johnny Lever and Javed Jaffrey in pivotal roles. The comedy film is slated to release on February 22.
