Aadar and Anya talk about ‘Qaidi Band’ clashing with two other big movies

This Friday, there are three movies releasing, the Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez-starrer ‘A Gentleman’ and YRF’s ‘Qaidi Band’ starring newcomers Aadar Jain and Anya Singh. So when there are multiple projects releasing on the same day, the pressure tends to increase on each of the filmmakers, actors, and the entire team members.

This time, as YRF is launching two fresh faces in the form of Raj Kapoor’s grandson Aadar Jain and a newcomer in the industry, Anya Singh, the pressure would have been much more on these fresh faces. So, during a recent interaction, Aadar and Anya were asked about their movie clashing with two other big movies and if it at all it is making them more nervous about the fate of their debut film. Both seemed pretty confident about their debut vehicle. Anya started off by saying, “We didn’t expect anything to be very honest. I believe whatever we could have done, we have done. We have put in our level best. What happens beyond this is not under our control. So whether there are five movies or just one movie, if it’s not a good movie, it’s not going to do well. If it is a good movie, no matter how many other movies come out on the same day, it will still do well. So, there is no added pressure that there are other movies. ‘Qaidi Band’ is written and directed by Habib Faisal, produced by Aditya Chopra and is slated for release on August 25, 2017.
