‘Aazadiyaan’ from ‘Begum Jaan’: When independence was scarred by the pain of exodus

By now we know that Vidya Balan’s upcoming film ‘Begum Jaan‘ is set in the era of partition. It is a story about a brothel owner who fights for her right. The brothel is at the border and due to this partition, it needs to be demolished, but Vidya fights for it.

With this the makers have unveiled yet another song from the film titled ‘Aazaadiyan’ with the vocals of Sonu Nigam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The visuals depict the misery of the people who suffered due to this partition. Riots and the divide, both the countries suffered too much due to this partition. This song will take you back to that era.
