Aishwarya Rajessh: I just want people to recognise me as Asha Gawli

Arjun Rampal-starrer ‘Daddy’ is all set to hit the screens on September 8, 2017. Arjun will be seen playing the role of Arun Gawli in the movie, and the character of Gawli’s wife, Asha Gawli, will be played by Aishwarya Rajessh, who will be making her Bollywood debut with the movie.

Recently, we interacted with Aishwarya and when we asked her as to why wasn’t she initially a part of the movie promotions, the actress said, “I have been doing a lot of interviews.” But, when once again probed about not being in the promotions initially, the actress said, “Initially, when I was doing the film, they (makers) said let’s not do any promotions now. If we start promoting the film right from that time people will not know you. Now is the right time to promote yourself, when the movie comes out, and people will see you, they will know you.” (Also Read: Arjun arranges for a special screening of ‘Daddy’ for his B-town buddies)

“Now movie is going to release, people will watch it. There will be reviews also. When you watch the film you will get an idea of my performance. I just want people to recognise me as Asha Gawli. People don’t know my name. I have done 20 films, whenever people see me they connect with me through the name I had in the film,” the actress added.

For the uninitiated, Aishwarya has done films down South and has also won a couple of awards. We simply can’t wait to watch her on the big screen.
