Ever since the trailers and songs of the movie ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ have been released online, everybody has been discussing about how the movie deals with a social taboo and a relevant subject of toilets which hasn’t really been explored before. With Akshay’s starry presence in the movie, the subject is going to reach a larger chunk of the audience. Since the actor has been working in movies which deal with various social issues, this movie too is considered to be an effort in the same direction. However, the actor disagrees and says that his movie is not too preachy, but a complete entertainer.
Said Akshay, “My movie is two and half hours of comedy, it is comedy. It is not a documentary, I’m not preaching you with this movie. It’s a complete entertainer, it’s only towards the end that the movie starts getting a bit serious and that’s it. Toilet humour is also in a different way and there is a real story connected here.” (Also Read: Akshay Kumar reveals he was a victim of child abuse)
Okay, then! So now you know that the movie is not a preachy one, but will entertain you instead! He also spoke about the movie being offered to other actors before him by saying, “The writers brought the subject to me. I find it surprising that this script had been doing the rounds of the industry for over four years. It went to a lot of heroes, a lot of people but nobody picked it up. I liked it and I asked Neeraj Pandey with folded hands to give it to me. Earlier, the film was named ‘Sandaas Ek Prem Katha’ but later the title got changed.”
‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ is directed by Shree Narayan Singh, produced by KriArj Entertainment and will be releasing on August 11, 2017.
