Priyanka Chopra who impressed everyone with her portrayal of a Boxer last year with ‘Mary Kom,’ is returning with yet another character from the pages of history named Kashibai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most ambitious project ‘Bajirao Mastani.’

Priyanka Chopra, who is playing Kashibai the first wife and Maratha Queen of Peshwa Bajirao I, opened up on her character details in a video launched yesterday. Everyone is familiar when it comes to Bajirao and Mastani but no one has told the story of Kashibai on the emotional turmoil she went through.

Priyanka Chopra who was the first actor to be signed for this magnum opus is really looking a great asset to the film by portraying her character with such fine controlled balance of emotions.

‘Bajirao Mastani’ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in title roles. The film is slated to release on December 18, 2015.
