EXCLUSIVE: My character is totally revamped, says Taapsee Pannu on ‘Judwaa 2’

Actress Taapsee Pannu is gung ho about her latest movie ‘Judwaa 2’ which hits the big screens on September 29. The movie which is a remake Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha-starrer ‘Judwaa’, is said to have Taapsee’s role modeled on the lines of Rambha’s. However, in an exclusive chat with us, the actress said that her role is nowhere close to Rambha’s character and is completely revamped.

Taapsee quoted, “My character is totally revamped. So, if you are going to watch with the perspective of what Rambha did, you’re going to be really disappointed. Especially, when it comes to girls, they have changed so much in the last 20 years that they don’t behave, talk, do things the same way anymore. My character is the one who will actually take the lead between her and Prem’s character.” When further asked if she met Rambha, she quipped, “No no, because my character only is very different.” (Also Read: Look what spoiled Taapsee Pannu’s perfect beach hair!)

Then, we went on to ask her how was it bonding with Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline on sets, to which she replied, “When you are doing a film like this. So, when we meet each other, we all break into peals of laughter every two minutes. That happens even now and on the sets. So, that’s what exactly you are going to see in the film. You will see that chemistry and bonding happening onscreen because we really were at ease with each other. Even though, I didn’t get to spend much time with Jacqueline because we didn’t have many scenes together but whatever little that we’ve spent, especially in locations like London or Mauritius, we had a great time with the unit.”

She further added, “There was so much of nostalgia. We were always sharing anecdotes of the original ‘Judwaa’.”

Well, with this, we sure seem to be in for some heavy dose of laughter. ‘Judwaa 2’ stars Varun Dhawan in a double role opposite Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu. Helmed by David Dhawan, the movie is set to release on September 29.
