Fatima Sana Shaikh recently appeared alongside a stellar all-women cast of Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi in Dhak Dhak. Post the film’s release, the actress got in a chat with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar where she spoke about the film’s reception and the contrary response it got from another women-led film released a week prior, Bhumi Pednekar starrer Thank You For Coming. She opened up on being a child actor, hating acting and taking the decision to quit. She shared if it felt disappointing not getting commercial offers even after the magnanimous success of Dangal. She also discussed if she felt threatened of being overshadowed while working with legendary actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. Fatima openly spoke about her mental health and taking therapy. She shared how nasty media reports hurt her, and the slutshaming and name calling she faces. The actress reunites with her Dangal co-star Sanya Malhotra for Sam Bahadur and she spoke about that reunion, female friendships in her life and raved about Vicky Kaushal, calling him deserving of getting 50 National Awards.
