The trio of Tigmanshu Dhulia, Goldie Behl and Hrithik Roshan had come together for the adaptation of a Shakespearean drama ‘Hamlet’, but now it seems like it has run into trouble as Tigmanshu had recently announced, “I may not make Hamlet because my writers and I feel that it doesn’t lend itself very well to cinema.”
According to sources, Goldie and Tigmanshu had decided to get together and cast Hrithik in the role of Hamlet so Tigmanshu and Goldie met Hrithik and discussed this subject. He initially loved it and gave a nod to Tigmanshu to go ahead and write it. After a few readings, Hrithik pointed out that the story-line of the son seeking revenge for his father’s death, is similar to his 2012 film ‘Agneepath’. He told Tigmanshu that he does not want to play a similar role again.
This does not mean that there are any hard feelings between Hrithik and Tigmanshu in fact the two of them are now working on a different project.
