Jaya Bachchan to debut on television

Veteran actress Jaya Bachchan is all set to debut on Indian Television just like her husband Amitabh Bachchan. Jaya has a long association with Television but as a producer and an anchor. But now she is all set to make her mark as an actress. The show is being produced by Endemol and will be aired by 2014.

According to sources, Jaya Bachchan will be seen in a strong character. “The show is based on a very strong subject and will have Jaya playing a prominent character. Though the story-line is under wraps but it will be based on a new theme and will not be run-of-the mill. She is likely to appear in the main lead on a fiction show on Sony Entertainment Channel. The show will be produced by Endemol”.

Sources further added, “Jaya has given her nod to be part of a daily show. It will go on the floors as soon as rest of the cast is locked. Her role is that of a woman whose husband vanishes into thin air one day. She tries to find him but in vain, so she moves on only to find him back in her life.”

It seems the husband wife are all prepared to make their mark on small screen as actors with Big B in Anurag Kashyap’s show and now Jaya in this new show to be aired soon.
