Kangana: It is a sick society and feminism is its medicine

Kangana Ranaut is a lot in the news these days because of her explosive interview that she has given to Rajat Sharma. From her relationship with Hrithik Roshan to the physical torture that she suffered when she was with Aditya Pancholi, the gutsy actress has bared it all. With this, she is also being termed as the Queen of Feminism.

She has been bold enough to speak her heart out and demand for equality for women. Earlier, she has also spoken about the inequality between male and female actors that prevail in the industry. From wage gap to how differently female actors are treated was well defined by Kangana in her explosive interview. So what’s Kangana’s definition of feminism?

In a recent interview, she was asked to define her thoughts on feminism, to which she said, “Feminism is equality. Feminism is not a concept, it is a compensation. Currently it is a subject, but if we have to emphasise that women are equal, even they have blood running in their veins, so it is a lack of the society. There should be no feminism in a healthy society. It is a sick society and feminism is its medicine. We need to be feminism free, like Polio free (laughs).”
