Kirti Kulhari has been in the cinematic world for almost a decade and a half. She has worked in theatre, TV, films, OTT platforms, and even in advertisements. In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Kirti speaks about her professional journey as well as her personal life experiences. At the beginning of the interview, Kirti shares how difficult it is to find a house in Mumbai as an actress and how people often tell her inflated prices. The Uri actress also mentions the three important lessons she has learnt over the past 15 years. As a producer, Kirti Kulhari has decided that she will always ensure that actors who aren’t selected for casting are informed about the decision. Kirti says that actors receive different treatment on set based on their popularity. For example, Kalki Koechlin in Shaitan and Taapsee Pannu in Pink received different treatment because they were more popular at the time. The actress also shares that she has experienced a casting couch in the South. She confirmed again to the producer and then directly rejected it.
She further says that she has worked in films for free and at a lower fee, but only when she truly believed the makers didn’t have the money. However, if they have the money and are deliberately offering less, she demands her due. In a conversation with host Avinash Pal, the actress also shares her experience of working with R. Madhavan and Himesh Reshammiya, as well as cutting her hair.
