Nawazuddin Siddiqui: Being compared to Sir Anthony Hopkins feels truly surreal

Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has time and again proved that he’s a brilliant actor. His work has been appreciated not only by his fans but also by critics. The actor will soon be seen in Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming release ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’. Nawaz known for his powerful display of talent onscreen is depicting the role of a serial killer Ramanna who is inspired by an infamous serial killer from the 1960s, Raman Raghav.

Recently during a press meet the actor was asked about the roaring applause and a standing ovation that he received at Cannes Film Festival where the film was screened. To which the down to earth actor replied in his very humble way that he is overwhelmed with the love and praises based on him for his performance in ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’.

Nawaz said that he was praised by the International critics who even compared him with Hollywood legends like Anthony Hopkins and Heath Ledger. An elated Nawaz said, “Being compared to a living legend like Sir Anthony Hopkins feels truly surreal.”

‘Raman Raghav’ starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vicky Kaushal, Sobhita Dhulipala will be releasing in theaters on June 24, 2016.
