Rajesh Kumar on the Rosesh Sarabhai curse, quitting acting, getting scenes cut in SOTY 2| Flashback

Rajesh Kumar is popularly known as Rosesh Sarabhai from Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. His poems, the way he speaks and the character in itself have become a cult classic, but he has had an illustrious journey in showbiz way before and after that as well. On the recent episode of Flashback, Rajesh remembered it all in a conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar. He shared how his career has been divided pre and post Sarabhai. In the pre phase, he discussed being discriminated for being a Doordarshan actor, his funny encounter with Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi, and how a humiliating rejection led to the biggest offer in his career. Rajesh revealed that he played Vidya Balan’s husband 21 years ago in a TV show, and what he said to her recently when they reunited. He also shed light on how despite the success, he got stereotyped after playing Rosesh and no one wanted to experiment with him. Rajesh revealed that his scenes were cut from Student Of The Year 2, and he quit acting for farming post that. The actor opened up on the equation between the OG Sarabhais and how Rupali Ganguly, Ratna Pathak Shah, Satish Shah and Sumeet Raghavan are the same as their characters.
