Rishi Kapoor pledges to donate organs

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor was recently at Chandigarh to attend an event held at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and research(PGIMER) . The 61 year old actor  pledged to donate his organs.

According to sources,  after distributing prizes to the winners of the “Transplant Games 2014” at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) here, the actor signed the pledge to be an organ donor. He also  appealed to general public to step forward and donate their organs. There were about 300 strong crowd participating in the games that were conceptualized to showcase the safety and success of transplantation as a means to a normal life and to spread awareness of kidney donation.

Ranbir Kapoor’s father Rishi Kapoor was recently seen in Yash Raj’s “Bewakoofiyaan,” playing father to actress Sonam Kapoor.
