‘Sarbjit’ Trailer: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda live and make you feel the pain

After creating the right amount of curiosity from the back-to-back releases of intense, heart touching posters featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda, the makers of ‘Sarbjit‘ have finally released the trailer which is bound to make you emotional.

‘Sarbjit’ narrates the tragic tale of an Indian farmer named Sarabjit Singh who was falsely accused of spying and terrorism in Pakistan and was jailed for this spanning a period of 23 years. Sarabjit’s elder sister Dalbir Kaur, for whom he was more like a son than a brother, went to an extreme level to fight for his freedom, but sadly couldn’t win this battle.

Filmmaker Omung Kumar, who has been credited for delivering an inspiring story of athlete Mary Kom in his directorial debut, has certainly brought another deserving story which could be felt after seeing the trailer itself.

It is evident that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda have lived the pain of their characters Dalbir Kaur and Sarbjit Singh respectively. Adding to the intensity are the perfect glimpses of talented actors like Richa Chadha and Darshan Kumar.

The film is slated to release on May 20, 2016.
