‘Simran’ Teaser: Kangana Ranaut’s vivacious and spunky act will win your heart

One of the most versatile performers in the industry, Kangana Ranaut is back as a Gujarati NRI, Praful Patel in Hansal Mehta’s upcoming ‘Simran‘. The makers unveiled the teaser of the movie and in the teaser, we see Kangana’s vivacious and spunky act. She is a carefree soul who laughs, tries out various garbs and runs helter-skelter in a shop. After giving an intense performance in ‘Rangoon’, this comes as a welcome change for us. The story is based on the life of an Indian woman Sandeep Kaur who gets arrested for bank robberies in the US. Kangana’s role of a housekeeper, Praful Patel who goes to US and gets involved in conning and heists may seem like a serious one, but from the teaser, it comes across as a slice-of-life film. The makers have also kept the story and plot a mystery as we only see Kangana up to some or the other mischief, but there are no dialogues for us to guess what’s exactly happening. We also get a glimpse of Sohum Shah in the scene where he is seated behind her and she erupts into laughter on seeing him.

‘Simran’ is directed by Hansal Mehta and will be releasing on September 15, 2017.
