Sonakshi Sinha at the trailer launch of Akira

The first trailer of Sonakshi Sinha’s much-awaited film, Akira, is finally out. The trailer was released on Monday evening at the Lala Lajpat Rai College in Mumbai.

The film sees Sonakshi’s character coming to Mumbai from Jodhpur, where she gets into a tiff with the goons of the college she enrolls in. The film has Anurag Kashyap depicting a negative role.

Speaking about her action-packed role in the film, Sonakshi said, “I liked it because it was a very good, gripping story, a story of a single girl’s struggle and fight. Overall the role is very powerful so there was no reason for me to say no.”

Directed by AR Murugadoss, the movie will see filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in a negative role while Akshay Kumar will make a guest appearance.
