Sudhaa Chandran is till date known for her impressive role as the antagonist Ramola Sikand on TV, and recently she returned to the small screen with Colors Tv’s new show Doree. For the latest episode of our chat show Flashback, the actress got in a candid conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar where she opened up on the still persisting gender discrimination in the society and facing it herself in the industry. Sudhaa ji lost her leg in an accident at the age of 16, yet that couldn’t stop her from becoming a dancer and actress, and she recalled that inspiring journey, how people dissuaded her from taking up a career and how her father emerged as her strongest support in all that. She also spoke about being confined to only vamp roles on TV and the industry not looking beyond that. The actress won a National Award for her first film which was her own story, and she expressed disappointment on how it isn’t recognised as the first biopic and facing 7 years of unemployment in her career post that.
