Sunidhi Chauhan’s tell-all on voice being called masculine, rejections, broken marriage & motherhood

Sunidhi Chauhan is possibly one of the best singers we have from this generation and even legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar had called her the best we have. With her music single Tum Kehte Ho that released two days ago and talks about societal shaming and breaking social norms and caging, in this episode of XtraOrdinary You on Bollywood Bubble, host Nayandeep Rakshit talks to her about her entire journey – from her name being changed from Nidhi to Sunidhi, facing rejections and being asked to ‘pack her bags and leave’ the industry, she’s seen it all. In fact, Sunidhi who’s dabbled with both dance numbers and soft, romantic ballads, initially also faced a lot of shaming, with music directors claiming her “voice was masculine”. Apart from that, Sunidhi shares why competition with her other peers and contemporaries especially with Shreya Ghoshal, is only limited to fan wars and nothing between them changes.
