‘Udta Punjab’ Trailer: Shahid, Kareena, Alia and Diljit hold you with the hard-hitting narrative

After revealing all the central characters from the soon to be released movie ‘Udta Punjab‘, the makers of this neo-noir drama thriller have finally released the trailer which indeed turns out to be more gripping and impressive from our expectations.

The trailer hooks you to the sharp narrative and amazing visuals set in the heartland of Punjab state with the rising issue of substance abuse. Apart from the writing, another most important factor shows you the unique perspectives of each character with the perfect casting of actors.

Be it Shahid Kapoor’s Rockstar Tommy Singh avatar or the two self-righteous saviour characters played by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh, everyone fits the part with perfection. No prizes for guessing, the Bihari migrant worker Kumari Pinky played by Alia Bhatt turns out to be the sure shot highlight with her intense presence and the apt accent she has delivered.

‘Udta Punjab’ is directed by Abhishek Chaubey popular for helming the ‘Ishqiya’ series. It is slated to release on June 17, 2016.
