Watch: Bright and peppy, ‘Whats Up’ from ‘Phillauri’ is the quintessential wedding song

One of the staple ingredients of a Bollywood movie is a wedding song and given that Anushka Sharma’s latest offering ‘Phillauri‘ takes place in the backdrop of a wedding, a song on the same was inevitable. The video is bright and peppy with desi beats and Punjabi lyrics, and who better than Mika Singh to sing an upbeat Punjabi dance track? And yes, he has done full justice to the song. The video depicts two weddings happening in different time frames together. One, the wedding of Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Pirzada’s characters which is in the present time and the other, the wedding of Anushka Sharma’s character with Diljit Dosanjh which is in the past. The atmosphere is colorful with many relatives geared up in preparations. There’s nothing unusual about the video, but Mika’s powerful voice and Anushka’s chemistry with Diljit will win your heart.

‘Phillauri’ is directed by Anshai Lal and produced by Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma under the banner of Fox Star Studios and Clean Slate Films. The movie also stars ‘Life Of Pi’ fame Suraj Sharma. The film release on March 24, 2017.
