Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone had shocked society when she openly spoke about her depression phase. She had confessed that she was suffering from Depression at the start of 2014. Now the diva for the very first time spoke about her problem on Television.
A few months back, Deepika Padukone revealed that she too had suffered from depression and it “was a struggle to wake up”. Deepika said, “I thought it was stress, so I tried to distract myself by focusing on work, and surrounding myself with people, which helped for a while. But the nagging feeling didn’t go away. My breath was shallow, I suffered from lack of concentration and I broke down often.”
Now Deepika Padukone has appeared in an inetrview with her mother Ujjwala Padukone and also a counsellor and a doctor too. She is all set to break her silence on this here-before taboo subject.
Watch the teaser of the special interview, which Deepika started with these words, “It all started on February 15 last year, when I had won all my awards and was being appreciated for my work in 2013 and obviously everyone is going to think like ‘why is she depressed?’ But I woke up one morning just feeling empty.”
