Watch – The Creation of ‘Hijacked’ Pan Am Flight in Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Neerja’ – Behind the Scenes

Filmmaker Ram Madhvani had a huge responsibility on him to bring the story of late flight attendant Neerja Bhanot on the big screen. The film ‘Neerja‘ is based on a true story of a brave girl who saved 359 lives by sacrificing her own life.

This incident had taken place due to a hijack situation in a flight named Pan Am Flight 73. Director Ram Madhvani wanted to keep the environment of fear and nervousness very authentic among the actors who were to play the flight crew and passengers. The first step for achieving this came through the making of the set design of this plane in which most of the movie has been shot.

Recently, the makers released a behind the scene video where the efforts have been shown on making this important part Pan Am Flight 73 come to reality.

Certainly, an amazing result is achieved by looking at the final output in the visuals of the trailer.

‘Neerja’ stars Sonam Kapoor playing the title role with Shabana Azmi and Shekhar Ravjiani in pivotal parts as well. It is slated to release on February 19, 2016.
