OMG 2 Box Office: Akshay Kumar’s film enters Rs 100 crore club, collects Rs 10.53 crore on day 9

Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. The film clashed with Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2.

Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam starrer OMG 2 released in theatres on 11^th August. The Amit Rai directorial clashed with Sunny Deol’s film Gadar 2 at the box office. Since its release, Akshay’s OMG 2 has been winning hearts. The actor has delivered a terrific performance as Lord Shiva’s messenger in the film. Pankaj and Yami too have won hearts with their stellar performance. Given the good response, OMG 2 has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office.

On its ninth day (Saturday), Akshay’s film collected Rs 10.53 crore. The film’s total collection now stands at Rs 101.61 crore.

OMG 2 Box Office Collection:

Week 1: Rs 85.05 crore

Week 2: Day 8 – Rs 6.03 crore

Day 9 – Rs 10.53 crore

Total: Rs 101.61 crore

OMG 2 is a sequel to OMG – Oh My God, which also starred Akshay Kumar. He played Lord Krishna in the first part. OMG also starred Paresh Rawal. The first part was a massive hit. Well, the sequel starring Akshay, Pankaj and Yami is also receiving love. The box office numbers are proof that OMG 2 is a hit. The film is running successfully in the theatres. While Akshay plays Lord Shiva’s messenger, Pankaj stars as Kanti Sharan Mudgal, and Yami plays the role of a lawyer.

The film is produced by Cape of Good Films, Ashwin Varde, Vipul D Shah, and Rajesh Bahl.

Bollywood Bubble gave Akshay’s film OMG 2 3.5 stars. A part of the review read, “If you’re looking forward to watching an entertaining film that also talks about a very important social message then OMG 2 is the right choice for you.”
