Once again, a Christmas release has proved to be lucky for Aamir Khan, as his film ‘Dangal’ is having a phenomenal run at the box office. The film that introduces two new faces, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, has become one of the highest grossers of this year. Within 8 days ‘Dangal’ directed by Nitesh Tiwari has managed to make it to Rs 200 crore club.
As per the statistics, on the second Friday, the film managed to mint approximately 18 crore at the box office. With this the grand total of ‘Dangal’ stands at Rs 2.10 crore making it at the top of the game. Now, isn’t this a reason to rejoice for the entire ‘Dangal’ team?
The film is based on the life of real-life women wrestlers Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat who brought victory to India in the Commonwealth games. Aamir played the role of Mahaveer Singh Phogat in the film, Geeta and Babita’s father who taught these girls wrestling.
