Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ has completed 10 days in theatres, and the collections are indeed strong. The film is nearing a worldwide business of Rs 500 crore. The collection currently stands at Rs 495 crore and should join the 500 crore club anytime soon.
Box office analysts predict that ‘Dangal’ has chances of crossing Rs 600 crore worldwide, provided it goes really strong for next few days. It already is the all-time highest grosser in Australia and is likely to do well in Canada too. Bollywood films usually have a fair business in Pakistan, but the film had no release there. This can affect its box office results, but not to a large extent.
However, domestic business of ‘Dangal’ is better than its overseas business. Especially in North India, it has done exceptionally well.
At present, the overseas collections of ‘PK’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Sultan’ and ‘Dhoom’ surpass that of ‘Dangal’. Let us see how the film’s business unfolds in next few days!
