Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid’ does a good business at the box office in its first week

Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Raid’ was never expected to take a flying start as it was not a holiday release, plus it had less mass appeal. But, thanks to good reviews and positive word of mouth, the movie collected Rs 39.75 crore in three days.

After the weekend, the movie continued to do a decent business at the box office in the week days, and has collected Rs 60.60 crore in its first week. ‘Raid’ has collected a bit higher than ‘PadMan’. ‘Raid’ is on its way to be a hit at the box office. It will surely face tough competition from Rani Mukerji-starrer ‘Hichki’ in its second week, but it will sustain well as ‘Hichki’ has not been released in much screens.

Talking about ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, the movie did very well in its fourth week by collecting Rs 7.75 crore, taking the till date total to Rs 95.63 crore. Its a super hit.
