‘Akira’ has an average collection after its first weekend

Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Akira’, after its first weekend in theatres, has earned around Rs. 16 crore. The film did not have a great opening but witnessed a slight growth at the box office on Sunday and minted Rs. 6.50 Crore.

The Sonakshi Sinha starrer dealt with the sensitive issue of ragging, and looked promising. Sadly, this one has failed to fare as much at box office, at least for now. Whether it will pick up growth or not, only time will tell.

‘Akira’ did not perform very well in multiplexes and looks like it is going to do better in single screens. With Monday being a Holiday in Maharashtra, prediction says it might buck up in terms of collection and see a higher growth!
