Akshay Kumar’s Airlift earns Rs 17.64 crore on day 1

Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur starer ‘Airlift’ is receiving appreciation from all quarters. The movie that tells the true story of India’s largest evacuation project that took place during the Gulf War is truly worth watching. The Raja Krishna Menon film has collected around Rs 17.64 crore on day 1.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted,

#Airlift takes UAE and GCC by storm. Collects approx AED 900,000 [₹ 1.66 cr] on Thu. Highest opening day grosser of Akshay Kumar there.

Looks like Akshay Kumar has once again struck gold at the box office. Positive word of mouth is expected to reap a good harvest for the film over the weekend. There are speculations that the film might soon cross the 100 crore barrier.
