Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa was released on Friday, December 17, while Spider-Man: No Way Home hit theatres a day before. Spider-Man: No Way Home starring Tom Holland and Zendaya was released on December 16, in India. The Spider-Man movie got a smashing opening at the box office. It managed to mint a collection of Rs 33 crore nett. Spider-Man: No Way Home became the second Hollywood film after Avengers: Endgame to witness such a massive collection. Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa which was released on Friday picked up well on the first day at the box office. Pushpa Hindi recorded good collections on Day 1 at the box office.
About the Day 1 box office collections of Pushpa, a Box Office India report said, “Pushpa Hindi picked up well on the first day to record collections around 3 crore nett. These are good numbers for this type of dubbd film. The film hardly had any collections in the multiplexes in the morning but they picked up but it is single screens where the collections have come from.”
As per the report, the Allu Arjun film got a huge opening in Andhra, taking it to the highest opening in India after the pandemic. “The Telugu film Pushpa took a huge opening in Andhra which will probably take it to the highest opening day in India post the pandemic of over 45 crore nett in all languages.”

Talking about Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, the report mentioned that the film has collected a total of over Rs 50 crore. It has collected 52.50 crore nett in total, so far. The Spider-Man movie has collected Rs 20 crore nett on the second day. The film has scored another big day at the box office. However, it has witnessed a drop on Day two, especially in the South. The report stated, “The film was always going to drop on day two especially as it a big ratio of business coming from the South and these circuits were going to drop.”

Meanwhile, Pushpa: Part one stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and features Samantha Ruth Prabhu too. Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland and Zendaya as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man and Mary Jane. Bollywood Bubble gave the Spider-Man movie 4.5 stars.
