The Hollywood film Eternals released in cinema halls across the country on Friday, November 5. From what it looks like, the Marvel superhero film is being well received by fans and the audience who have been heading to theatres for the movie. Marvel Studios’ Big Diwali Entertainer Eternals have been welcomed by audiences across India and has by far a decent collection at the box office. Although the film clashed at the box office with the Bollywood film Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, Eternals has opened with a bang during the Diwali weekend.
Oscar-winner Chloe Zhao’s superhero magnum opus has opened with a bang in India post a phenomenal global box office. The film has had a decent opening on Day 1 after it was released in the theatres. Eternals has managed to mint a total of Rs. 8.75 cr GBOC and 7.35 cr NBOC, in terms of Day 1 figures at the box office.
Despite huge local Hindi and South competition, the film’s first-day opening is a testament to the huge fan following and craze for Marvel films in India. In comparison to other Marvel releases like films-  Shang Chi and the Legend of Ten Ring, Eternals has managed to do well with a decent opening on Diwali weekend. The earlier Marvel films collected ₹3.25 crore on day one.

The Marvel Studios’ superhero film is currently in theatres in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Meanwhile, Eternals was released in theatres with Sooryavanshi on November 5. The film also has superstar Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe in competition, which was released one day early, on November 4.
Eternals is directed by Chloe Zhao. The superhero Marvel film stars Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, and others.
