Animal box office: Ranbir Kapoor starrer inches closer to become the fifth Rs 500 crore film after Jawan, Pathaan, earns Rs 479 crores

Actor Ranbir Kapoor starring Animal is unstoppable at the box office. The film has garnered mixed responses from the fans yet it is doing phenomenally well at the box office. The movie has already crossed the Rs 700 crore mark globally whereas it has crossed the Rs 400 crore mark in the domestic market. But Animal is going to achieve another milestone and will join the likes of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan and Jawan and other movies.

The total box office collections of Animal has now come to Rs 479.41 crores, inching closer to the Rs 500 crore mark. What’s interesting is that the film is set to become the fifth movie to cross the Rs 500 crore mark. Currently, movies like Jawan, Pathaan, Gadar 2 and Baahubali 2 have entered the Rs 500 crore mark. Well, looking at the current trends, Animal will soon make a position in the list.

Here are Rs 500 crore Bollywood movies

Jawan – Rs 643.87 (took 13 days to cross 500 cr mark)

Pathaan – Rs 543.05 (took 22 days to cross 500 cr mark)

Gadar 2 – Rs 525.45 (took 24 days to cross 500 cr mark)

Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion – Rs 510.99 (took 34 days to cross 500 cr mark)

Is Animal sequel on the cards?

The makers have also announced a sequel to Animal, and have named it Animal Park in the movie. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that Animal Park will be ‘darker, meaner and bigger’.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. Bollywood Bubble gave 4 stars to Ranbir starrer. A part of the review read, “Animal is a must-watch and that too on the big screen. For the love of Ranbir Kapoor, nothing else will do, you can watch this film again on the OTT space.”
