Animal movie starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna has left everyone amazed with their box office numbers. Ever since it was released, Animal is only breaking and making numbers at the box office. On Monday, Animal Hindi collections have beaten the first Monday collections of Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan. Usually, Mondays are considered to be crucial as they fare decent numbers; however, some eventful movies have crushed that norm. With this latest milestone, we made a list of the highest first Monday collections of Bollywood movies that did create a stir at the box office.
While some movies were released on Friday, there are some which were released on Wednesday and Thursday. Hence, the list also tells you their first Monday collections of the movies with their day-wise numbers. Given that several movies have been released in multiple languages, these box office numbers are for all the languages.
Bollywood movies’ with Highest first Monday collections of all time
Tiger 3 – Rs 59.25 crore (day 2)
Instead of going the traditional way, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer released the movie on a Sunday. Hence, Tiger 3 crossed the 50-crore mark in two days.
Pathaan – Rs 53.25 crores (Day 6)
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan which ruled the box office like a boss was released on a Wednesday. It got an added advantage and hence the film collected Rs 53.25 crores.
Baahubali 2 – Rs 40.25 crore (Day 4)
Prabhas starrer Baahubali comes third in the list for all the right reasons. After the mega success of Baahubali, the buzz around the second one was high.
Animal – Rs 44.47 crore (Day 4)
Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor managed to beat several big movies including Jawan, Gadar 2 and Tiger Zinda Hai.
Gadar 2 – Rs 38.70 crore (Day 4)
Sunny Deol starrer created history when the film was released. The movie is also one of the highest-grossing films of 2023.
Tiger Zinda Hai – Rs 36.54 crore (Day 4)
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer was the second movie in the franchise and the movie left everyone impressed.
Jawan – Rs 32.92 crore (Day 5)
After Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan yet again established that he is the King of Bollywood as well as box office.
Housefull 4 – Rs 32 crores (Day 4)
Housefull 4 was not critically acclaimed but did well at the box office. The multi-starrer managed to bring Rs 32 crores at the box office.
Dangal – Rs 25.69 crore (Day 4)
Aamir Khan starrer Dangal also created a huge stir at the box office. It earned over Rs 1000 crore at the worldwide box office.
KGF 2 – Rs 25.57 crore (Day 5)
Yash starrer KGF 2 box office collections were madness. The movie earned good numbers.
