Ranbir Kapoor arrived at the box office on December 1 worldwide with Animal and literally took over it like a storm. Every day the film has been breaking records at the cash counters. And as the film entered its second week of release, it continued its dream run. The second Friday collection of Animal have again rewritten the history books.
Animal worldwide box office collection crosses Rs 600 crore mark
The Ranbir Kapoor starrer ended its first week on a big high by collecting Rs 563.3 crores at the ticket counters worldwide. Now, on its second Friday, the film achieved another milestone as it crossed the Rs 600 crore mark. The worldwide total of Animal now stands at Rs 600.67 crores. With this, the film has emerged as Ranbir’s highest worldwide grosser crossing the collection of Sanju (Rs 586.85 crores). It has a clear window of performing until Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki arrives on December 21. Prabhas’ Salaar also comes on December 22 in theatres.
Even domestically, Animal clocked in the biggest 2nd Friday ever, beating the likes of Gadar 2, Baahubali 2, The Kashmir Files, and Dangal. In Hindi, the film netted Rs 21.56 crores at the box office. The total Hindi collection now stands at Rs 322.37 crores. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is smashing box office records left, right and centre. In the coming days, it will continue to do so.

Apart from Ranbir, Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri. The film clashed at the box office with Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur and emerged the audience’s first choice. It has garnered quite a mixed reception, raising conversations. However, Ranbir’s performance as a sociopathic man has garnered immense praise for him.
