Dream Girl 2 Box Office: Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday’s film is unstoppable, collects Rs 6.36 crore on day 9

Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday’s film Dream Girl 2 sees a growth in the box office collection on Saturday as compared to Friday.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday starrer Dream Girl 2 is winning hearts at the box office. The film opened on a good note as it released on August 25. For the uninitiated, Ayushmann’s film collected Rs 10.67 crore on its first day. The film’s week 1 collection was 67 crores. Dream Girl 2’s day 1 of second week started on a good number. It collected Rs 4.70 crore on day 8. And well, day 9 saw a jump in numbers.

Ayushmann and Ananya’s film collected Rs 6.36 crore on Saturday. The total collection now stands at Rs 78.06 crore. The film is slowing inching closer to Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. It’ll be exciting to see how it does in the second week.

Dream Girl 2 Box Office Collections:

Week 1: Rs 67 crore

Day 8: Rs 4.70 crore

Day 9: Rs 6.39 crore

Total: Rs 78.06 crore

Ayushmann is back as Pooja in the sequel of Dream Girl. On the other hand, Ananya plays the role of Pari Shrivastav. Dream Girl 2 also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Seema Pahwa, Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Manoj Joshi, and Manjot Singh among others. Raaj Shaandilyaa directed Dream Girl 2.

Bollywood Bubble gave 3 stars to Dream Girl 2. A part of the review read, “Ayushmann as Pooja is superb. He walks, talks and acts like a woman. However, Ayushmann is unnecessarily over-dramatic as Karam. Even with limited screen space, Ananya makes her presence felt as Pari. Their Mathura accent is bang on, leaving no room for error. Annu Kapoor and Paresh Rawal are undoubtedly a treat to watch in this one and so is the entire supporting cast including Abhishek Banerjee, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Seema Pahwa & Manjot Singh.”
