Dream Girl 2 box office: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer sees a terrific Tuesday, crosses Rs 50 crore mark

Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday starrer Dream Girl 2 had an amazing opening at the box office as it released on August 25. After a high earning weekend, the film passed the crucial Monday litmus test. And the Tuesday figures hint at a fantastic growth in collection as Day 5 sees a slight hike from Day 4.

DG 2 collected Rs 5.42 crores on Monday and then on Tuesday it witnessed a slight hike. The film collected Rs 5.87 crores on Tuesday and it hints at the positive reception of the film. After these figures, the total collection of 5 days stands at Rs 52 crores. With this, the film has breached Rs 50 crore mark. The film faced a stiff competition from Gadar 2 and OMG 2, both running successfully in their third week. However, DG 2 has been able to held its own and perform well.

Thursday collection is expected to see a further spike on the account of Raksha Bandhan. At this pace, Dream Girl 2 might close its week one with a collection between Rs 60-65 crores. It will have another week to itself for performing until Shah Rukh Khan arrives with a storm. His film Jawan has a release date of September 7 and it is expected to create an uproar at the box office.
