‘Baadshaho’ and ‘SMS’ show amazing growth at the box office on day 2

While Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta-starrer ‘Baadshaho’ took a good start at the box office, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ started on a low note. However, on the second day, which was a public holiday (Bakri Eid), both the films showed an amazing jump at the box office.

Milan Luthria’s ‘Baadshaho’ collected Rs 10.10 crore on day one, and on Saturday the collection was Rs 13.50 crore. The two-day total of the movie is Rs 23.60 crore which is quite good. The movie will have a good Sunday too, but the main test will be on how it fares on Monday as massy movies like this see a huge drop during weekdays. On the other hand, after taking a slow start at the box office, ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ showed an excellent growth on its second day. The film on Friday collected Rs 2.64 crore and on Saturday the collection was Rs 5.50 crore. The movie has collected Rs 8.14 crore in two days which very good as it is a small budget film. If it maintains well in the coming days, this one will be a hit at the box office easily.

‘Baadshaho’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ have received mixed reviews, but it looks like audiences have been quite excited for the films.
