Ever since Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Dangal’ has been released in China, the movie has been giving some stiff competition to the hugely successful and record-breaker ‘Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion’. Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ has grossed over Rs 1700 crore worldwide as the collections in China are over Rs 967.12 crore this week. So, the movie has raced ahead of ‘Baahubali 2’ by Rs 167 crore. But, even if ‘Dangal’ has surpassed the worldwide figures of ‘Baahubali 2’ in all languages, the latter still qualifies to be the biggest blockbuster. The reason being that the worldwide share of ‘Baahubali 2’ is Rs 800 crore in all languages and the share of ‘Dangal’ is Rs 525 crore in all languages. Both movies have one similarity that they haven’t earned the best business in the languages that they were made in. Like, ‘Baahubali 2’ did the best business in the Hindi language inspire of being a Telugu movie whereas ‘Dangal’ did the best in Mandarin, though it’s a Hindi film. So, the current box office update on both the movies states that ‘Dangal’ did a business of Rs 1734 crore including all four languages and ‘Baahubali 2’ did a business of Rs 1567 crore including all languages.
So, we come to a conclusion, that ‘Dangal’ has raced ahead of ‘Baahubali 2’ when it comes to Worldwide figures, but ‘Baahubali 2’ still remains at the top because its worldwide share is more than ‘Dangal’.
